Maria Valles

I am a Canadian designer-maker based in Reykjavík, Iceland. Working with wool grown and produced here in Iceland, I use traditional handwork techniques like crocheting and felting to create modern homewares and accessories infused with tactile warmth and natural, rustic beauty. I have been making things for as long as I can remember, and crochet is my first love. I favour natural materials, and work primarily with Icelandic wool because I simply love the texture and quality of this wonderfully versatile material
